Gary Neville names his Utd team of the decade as Rashford in, Pogba out.
Despite picking up Premier League titles in 2011 and 2013 and winning FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League trophies in the past 10 years, most would admit it has not been a vintage decade at Old Trafford — compared with the 1990s and 2000s.
But Neville's best XI to play for United since 2010 still includes club greats Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney.
He named David de Gea as his goalkeeper, despite the Spaniard's error-strewn form of 2019 and a sticky start when he joined United in 2011.
"He's been outstanding, Manchester United's player of the season for most of the decade," Neville told Sky Sports . "He did not have the best of starts but he got there in the end."
Neville then added that the full-back positions have been problematic at United in recent years.
"Right-back has been a real problem position for Manchester United since I left," he added. "Antonio Valencia is the one who really made the position his own over the last 10 years, it's too early for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic is the best Manchester United centre-back partnership of all time, let alone the last decade.
"Left-back has similarly been problem position for United, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all played there - it's been like the waltzers! Patrice Evra was a fantastic left-back and he gets in because of his quality at the start of the decade."
Neville chose his Class of 92 teammates Scholes and Giggs in midfield, despite the fact both retired towards the start of the decade. Current first team coach Michael Carrick was also included, but there was no place for Pogba.
He added: "Those three are shoo-ins because of their roles in the title wins at the start of the decade.
"On the right I have gone for Marcus Rashford because he is the one player in the last four to five years that has come in and looks like he could play in any Manchester United team over the past 25 years."
Strikers Rooney and Robin Van Persie made up the res of his side.
Neville's Man United team of the decade: De Gea; Valencia, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Rashford, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs; Rooney, van Persie.
