Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he wants to rebuild the side's relationship with the club's fans.

The Gunners, who drew 1-1 at Bournemouth on Thursday in Arteta's first game in control, have won only once in 14 alliance and cup matches. 

"I was truly satisfied with how the fans treated the players [at Bournemouth]," said Arteta. 

"I was cheerful that the players went to see the fans after the game also on the grounds that we need that association." 

He included: "Gradually we have to construct that back to where it was on the grounds that it will be exceptionally amazing for us to utilize that."
